I just started macroeconomic theory at my notably freshwater (Hayekian) institution. The first few days have been interesting, to say the least. I anticipate more quotable insights from this renowned and stately professor.

I was going to make a funny math-major joke. Isn't a standard geometric series [r/(1-r)] when you start at t=0 rather than t=1? ie instead of [1/(1-r)].

Maybe I'm missing something.. or maybe that's why Kehoe dislikes Keynsianism so much?

No, you're not missing something. He just dislikes Keynsianism this much.

God, this makes me a bit embarrased by association! My strategy: just sit back, smile and don't worry about taking such great notes.
